There is a place for everyone with the Toronto Scottish. men and women, the young and the old, the athletic and the lethargic, all will find a welcome at this club.

Although the Scottish are a force on the field, the Men's and Women's 1st 15’s having finished at or near the top of their respective divisions last year, there have been dark times in the club’s history when it survived chiefly on its charm. In those years, the Scottish earned a reputation as the most hospitable and entertaining club in the league.

It’s a reputation they cherish. In an odd way, the intense social life of the club has translated into hard play and loyalty on and off the field. Membership in itself is a privilege.

In addition to the excellent coaching and play at the highest level, the Scottish Men's and Women's development sides and juniors (under 21 and under 18) also finished near the top of their respective divisions in 2007.

There, sadly, the competitiveness of the club ends. For those who feel that they are too fit and talented for ordinary rugby, you can dull your skills by joining the 3rd division team, or the Old Blue (the name speaks for itself).

So, if you’re over sixteen and have a resting pulse rate in excess of 0 beats/minute, the Toronto Scottish want you.

International players are especially welcome. Many have played here, a few have gone on to excel in other places, and all have had a good time. Admittedly some have left in disgrace and live out their days in shame and ignomy, ever anxious to return.
