Toronto Scottish Rugby Football Club was founded in 1953 and boasts 56 years of rich heritage and tradition throughout the Toronto rugby community.
The club’s men’s team has recently returned to the top flight of Ontario rugby and the women chase their 11th championship in 12 years. Both squads have healthy playing personnel with close to 200 active playing members combined.
The club has now returned to its rightful position of challenging for top honors in both genders, and is looking to enhance player development and maintain this status for future years.
Viewing ourselves as a progressive amateur club with professional values, Toronto Scottish Rugby Football Club introduced an innovative initiative two seasons ago. The ‘Sponsor a Player’ program offers players additional support and sponsors their rightful recognition. The exciting development was extremely successful with over 20 players securing sponsorship. As a result of this, Toronto Scottish RFC has therefore decided to again proceed with the initiative this year.
‘Sponsor a Player’ invites companies, club members & player associates to sponsor a player for the 2009 season.
Our recommended sponsorship of $200 towards each player would be split adequately with;
1. $100 going towards the player to purchase kit
2. $100 going towards club funds for equipment, transportation & general admin costs.
Sponsors would gain the following recognition:
- Recognized in ALL 7 Men’s 1st XV home match programs ‘Player Sponsor’ page.
- Logo recognition and thanked all year round on the newly launched website.
Many players have a professional attitude and spend unlimited time and energy on perfecting skills and performance. With an additional $200 behind them in sponsorship you could help progress player development to the next level, and give increased financial support that rugby lacks in Canada whilst showing your continued support for Toronto Scottish RFC.
